A group of us took a private tour in Antigua–Explore Antigua with Gordon. We went river tubing which was a riot, and then drove to the Trafalgar Waterfalls. After the falls, on the way back, we stopped at Screw Spa where we soaked in the sulphur spas.
Tubing
I really enjoy tubing, and unlike whitewater rafting, you don’t really have to do any work!
- One of the guides, carrying the tubes down to the water
- Stan, getting ready to embark
- Julie–with her skin protection shirt on
- Jason–eager for speed
- Bob & Julie
- Sandi on the water
- Jackie, all set
- I think Jason is spinning here.
- There were almost as many ways to sit in the tube as there were tubers.
- The view from the river
- Looking up river to where we were going next
Trafalgar Waterfalls
- On the way to the falls, we saw a local woman doing her laundry in a creek.
- Welcome to the Falls!
- The hike to the falls included some lovely creeks
- Fauna in the Caribbean
- Picture of us looking at the falls!
- Looking at the falls from the rocks
- Closer up of the falls
- Bob & Julie
- Me & Stan–looking a bit sun covered
Screw Spa
- Welcome to the Spa!
- Okay, so I’m juvenile and like the word!
- Interestingly enough, spell check doesn’t like this spelling of sulfur.
- I can’t be in the Caribbean without taking pictures of lizards!
- It was a lovely setting.
- Soaking
- As we got overheated, we kept moving “down” to the cooler pools.
Souvenirs

- What does it say that a year later, I can’t remember who this was a gift for or if I bought it for myself?
- I bought the rum on a whim–can’t have too much rum, can you?
